Mississippi Dead Animal Removal publishes reference pages and runs a referral line. This page sets out how the first is kept separate from the second.

What counts as a source

Statements of law or government practice come from the government that wrote them: a state code or rule, a state agency's page, a city or county code or website, or a federal rule. Where an official site could not be read, a named copy is used and identified as a copy. Directories, competitors' sites, review platforms, forum posts and search-engine summaries are never used as a source.

How claims are worded

  • A rule is given to the government that made it, in its own words where possible, with the date it was read.
  • Where a page is silent, the site says so, and does not fill the gap.
  • A rule written for one case, such as hunters, livestock or live wildlife, is not stretched to cover another.
  • No prices, arrival times, licences, insurance or endorsements are claimed for the site or for any operator.
  • Agency guidance is called guidance, not law.

Referrals do not shape the pages

Operators who receive inquiries through this site may pay for them. They do not write, review or approve any page, and the reference pages say the same thing whether or not an operator covers an area. Where a public agency handles a case, the pages say so and send the reader there first, even though that means no inquiry.

Corrections

If something on this site is wrong or out of date, send the page and the sentence through the contact form. It is checked against the source the page cites, or against a newer official source if you point to one. Where the page is wrong, it is corrected and its checked date updated. Corrections from people who work for the agencies concerned are particularly welcome.
